A list of gear I’m currently rolling with. Not all of it is up to date yet, but pretty close. I’ve chosen to go a more hybrid route of tracking to digital, mixing in analog and then printing back down to digital. To me it’s kind of the best of both worlds. You get the quick editing ease and endless options by having things tracked in digital and the warmth / natural feel that comes from passing gear to analog. Plus mixing in analog is a much more enjoyable experience as opposed to staring at a computer screen all day long.

My goal is to some day be fully analog start to finish and move towards owning a 24 track 2 inch tape machine. Old school style. That’s a huge endeavor though because (to my knowledge) there’s nobody here in town who could quickly repair a machine like that if it suddenly breaks down. I’d have to know the deck inside and out and be able to fix it on my own. So some day when the time feels right.
